University Parkway / Highway Construction
/WB•Koester constructed the 2nd phase of Vanderburgh County’s plan to extend the north/south route from the University of Southern Indiana to link with Interstate 64. A unique part of WB•Koester’s scope was constructing a 12 acre “man made” wetland. This new wetland is to replace the watersheads that would be removed in the path of the new parkway.

Evansville Regional Airport / Major Runway Reconstruction & Extension
/Power producer Electric Energy Inc. constructed a new CCB landfill for scrubber waste in Joppa, IL. WB•Koester began work early May to construct two creek crossings and haul roads to access the soil stockpile.
Cut, Stockpiled, & Placed 465,000 CY of soil
Placed 72,000 CY of 3 foot clay liner
Installed 58,000 SY of 60 mm HDPE liner
Placed 37,000 tons of sand drainage layer
Installed 29,500 SY of 40 mm HDPE
Provided permanent erosion control and seeding for 30 acres lot
