CEO, Weddle Bros. Construction Co., Inc.
Lee is head of all Weddle Brothers Companies. Lee is a 1978 graduate of the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and has been with Weddle Brothers Construction since 1981. Starting in 1997 Lee served as President and CEO for 25 years and remains CEO today.
President, Weddle Bros. Construction Co., Inc.
Bruce is a graduate of the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He has led many large-scale projects in his 33- year construction career. Bruce served as the President of the AGC of Indiana. He is also involved in Construction association with labor board management.
Project Executive
Bob is a Civil Engineer and graduate of Purdue University with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Bob has recently managed projects for ALCOA, Brampton Brick, Ameren, Duke Energy, Electric Energy Inc., Hoosier Energy, Meijer, Vectren, St. Mary’s Health System, Valero, and the Evansville Regional Airport Authority. Bob joined the WBK team in 1992.
Project Manager
Joe joined the WB-Koester Construction Team in February 2023. Prior to joining, Joe worked as a prep plant shift supervisor in the coal mines in the early 2000’s before moving companies in 2011 to manage multiple different power plant projects; Duke Gibson, Hoosier Energy Merom and Duke Cayuga. Since joining, Joe is currently the project manager for the highway division managing INDOT highway projects and regional airport projects.
Project Manager
Kadi joined WBK’s team as a Project Engineer in 2020, after graduating from Murray State University with a degree in Construction Management and Architecture. As a Project Engineer she assisted on Stormwater, CCR Landfill Construction, CCR Ash Pond Closure, and Gypsum Pond Renewal projects for the Evansville Airport and various Duke Energy and CenterPoint Energy locations. While working with us, she obtained another B.S. degree in Surveying Management from Everglades University. As a Project Manager she has worked on projects for Duke Energy, Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), and CenterPoint Energy.
Project Manager
Since joining the WBK Team in 2008 he has served in various roles. Starting his career as a Project Engineer he provided support for projects at Prairie State Generating Campus, Duke IGCC Edwardsport, Evansville Airport Authority, and IP&L Eagle Valley CCGT. As a Project Manager he has worked on commercial sites such as Casey's General Store Distribution Center, ATS Expansion, and the Post House. He has also managed numerous projects at generating facilities such as NIPSCOs Landfill Cap and Cover and has spent significant time on CCR Landfill Construction and CCR Ash Pond Closure Projects for Duke Energy. Steve graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Building Construction & Management.
General Superintendent
J.R. started with the company in 2018 as a Superintendent and was promoted to General Superintendent in 2022. J.R. has been in the construction industry for over 27 years working on highway, civil and airport projects. Most notably, J.R. has supervised multi-million-dollar projects for INDOT, KYTC, Louisville International Airport and several small Regional airports in Southern Indiana. Additionally, he has worked on projects for Duke Energy, TVA and manufacturing plant site development.
CAD Manager
Brad coordinates all AutoCAD Civil 3-D DrawingTake-offs and builds all GPS Total Machine Control Models for the WBK fleet of dozers and graders. Brad was employed at The Lochmueller Group for 16 years, as their Private Development Designer, prior to joining the WBK Team in 2014. Brad has an Associate Degree in Science Technology from Vincennes University.
Equipment Manager
Doug manages all of the WBK repair technicians, both in the shop and in the field. He also is responsible for a fleet of construction equipment that includes over 200 pieces of machinery. Doug has been in the equipment maintenance field all of his working career. Prior to joining WBK in 2007 Doug had worked for Old Ben Coal, Mining Machinery Inc., and Brandeis Machinery.
Office Manager
Denise oversees all of the WBK daily office operations related to payroll, payables and receivables. Denise multi-tasks as Vice President-Rick Niehaus’s Executive Assistant, lead administrator on preparation of bid documents, and also supports Project Management. Denise joined the WBK Team in 2018.
Vice President, WB-Koester Construction, LLC
Rick is responsible for the management and oversight of the WB-Koester Construction Team. Rick is a Professional Engineer with a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Evansville. Rick joined the WBK Team in 1990 and has played a key role in WBK’s largest projects. Rick has managed multimillion dollar projects for American Electric Power, Duke Energy, NIPSCO, Big Rivers Electric Corporation, Chicago Bridge & Iron, AES/Indianapolis Power & Light, Toyota Motor Manufacturing, and AK Steel. Rick was promoted to Vice President following the retirement of Gregory Head.
